Equipment stolen from Crumlin Fire Station
According to an article published by Loveballymenaonline on 11 March 2025, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) has reported a burglary at the Crumlin Fire Station in County Antrim. The incident, which occurred overnight, resulted in the theft of several pieces of equipment described as critical to the service’s operational response to road traffic collisions.
Sergeant Davidson of the Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed that the break-in at the Mill Road facility was reported at approximately 7.40am on 11 March. NIFRS Northern Area Commander Ryan Thompson stated that the stolen items are essential for rescuing casualties from vehicles. While contingency arrangements have been established to maintain local response capabilities, the service has issued an urgent appeal for the equipment to be returned.
Police enquiries are ongoing, and authorities are requesting that anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage contact them quoting reference number 209 11/03/25. Reports can also be made anonymously via Crimestoppers.
