CCTV appeal issued after Padiham shop robbery
According to an article published by Lancashirepost on 3 October 2024, Lancashire Police have issued a CCTV appeal following a knifepoint robbery at a convenience store. The incident occurred at the Best One shop on Burnley Road in Padiham shortly before 7:45am on Tuesday, 1 October 2024.
Lancashirepost reports that two suspects wearing face coverings entered the premises and demanded the victim open the till. When the shopkeeper refused, one suspect produced a kitchen knife and threatened him. After failing to force the till open, the individuals stole £600 worth of cigarettes, placing them into a black rucksack before fleeing the scene.
DS Sean Goddard of Burnley CID stated that a dedicated team is working to identify the suspects. Police are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals in the CCTV footage to come forward. Information can be provided by emailing [email protected] or calling 101, quoting log 188 of 1 October 2024.
