According to an article published on 22 November 2024, Durham Constabulary is investigating an attempted aggravated burglary at a private home in Houghton-le-Spring. ITV reports that the incident involved a group of four masked men, one of whom was allegedly carrying a machete.
The residents, including Charlotte Crosby and her partner Jake Ankers, were present at the property during the incident. According to Mr. Ankers, the suspects were confronted and subsequently fled the scene before police arrived. A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary confirmed that officers were alerted to the reports at 7pm on Thursday. Authorities stated that no injuries were reported and no items are believed to have been taken during the encounter.
